About GEO Agency

GEO Agency focuses on how businesses are represented in generative AI answers and the sources that inform those answers. The work starts with the questions buyers ask. It then examines what the available evidence says about the companies being considered.

An evidence-led approach

An answer is a lead for research. We look at the question and the conditions under which the answer appeared. We also inspect the pages it cites. A brand mention and a linked citation are different. Neither automatically means endorsement.

The same care applies to a business’s own information. Service descriptions should be clear and accurate. Claims should be supported by evidence the company can stand behind. Recommendations should point to work that can be assigned and reviewed.

Clear scope and responsibility

A GEO project should define the questions and platforms before it begins. It should also set the depth of research and expected work. The scope should make clear who is responsible for implementation and outside outreach. If specialist partners are proposed, their role and accountability should be agreed as part of the scope.

Independent publishers decide what they include. No engagement can promise that an AI platform will recommend a business or that a publisher will feature it.
